The Smithsonian’s National Museum of African American History & Culture Opens Saturday, September 24, 2016

The bronze open metal-work filigree screen wrapping the NMAAHC in Washington, D.C. metaphorically lets a little light shine on the history and culture of African Americans in the United States.  The brand-new museum, filled with historical artifacts and cultural mementos, many of them donated by family members, is given a place of rightful prominence on the National Mall, with views of the Washington Monument and the Lincoln Memorial.

Read more about it here and here.

And for those of you who follow us on facebook . . . yes, this is where LUMICHRON clocks will make a showing.  Flavor Flav will be wearing a LUMICHRON clock when he performs with his band Public Enemy on Saturday 9/24/16, at 3:00 on the Story Circle Stage, and again at 6:00 on the Freedom Stage.  The plan is for him to present one clock to President Obama, and one to the Museum.

Thank you Flavor Flav for choosing LUMICHRON to reproduce your famous time-pieces!
